Two years after raising $294,000 for AIDS Orphans Rising, Lisa Smith-Batchen is at it again. This year, starting on July 9th, Lisa Smith-Batchen will run 302 miles and cycle another 508, making this one of the most aggressive feats of her career.

LAS VEGAS, NV - STAGE ONE
THE FIRST 160 MILES

160 Mile Run. The run will begin on July 9th at a location T.B.A. in Las Vegas, Nevada.

From Las Vegas, Lisa will run to Badwater, Death Valley, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere and nearly 160 miles away. She will need to cross a mountain range and suffer through temperatures approaching 130 degrees.

DEATH VALLEY, CA - STAGE 2
BADWATER ULTRAMARATHON

Once Lisa arrives at Badwater, Death Valley, she will begin her ninth ever Badwater Ultramarathon--a 135-mile run that will take her to the Mt. Whitney Portals. But, instead of stopping there, Lisa will continue.....

MT. WHITNEY, CA
THE BADWATER ULTRAMARATHON "EXTRA"

Where most participants cross the line and begin a well-deserved rest, Lisa will continue an additional ten miles -- 10 miles straight up - to the top of Mt. Whitney, summiting the highest peak in the continental United States.

SANTA CLARITA, CA - STAGE 3
FURNACE CREEK 508

Lisa will return to Death Valley in October to participate in the "Furnace Creek 508," a 508-mile bike ride in and around the National Park. All told, the journey will have been 810 miles.
